After 20 years in the Marine Corps, I've learned the impermanence of things, especially furniture that doesn't withstand the rigors of constant moving. This realization sparked my passion for giving old furniture new life, leading me to discover a deep-seated love for crafting and creation. Each move became an opportunity to transform and reimagine, turning a necessary task into a fulfilling hobby. This journey into furniture flipping ignited my creative spirit, laying the foundation for a venture where every piece tells a story of transformation and renewal.

Hard Work.

From early on, I embraced the mantra that hard work trumps talent. My dedication found its outlet in the quiet hours of the weekend or late nights, with my little ones asleep, as I indulged in crafting—be it sanding, painting, or sawing. This commitment was rooted in a belief instilled by my mother, who assured me I was capable of achieving anything. JC Craftyhands was born from this ethos and my reluctance to be pigeonholed into a single craft. It's a celebration of my varied passions: sewing, painting, creating tumblers and shirts, and especially, the joy of reviving used furniture. This diversity in creativity is what JC Craftyhands stands for—a testament to the belief that with hard work, one can indeed do it all.
